Exciting Announcement: Upcoming Egypt-UK Investment and Opportunities Forum in London!

Following a successful EBCC and DBT infrastructure mission to Egypt in June 2024, the EBCC, HSBC and, UK Export Finance (UKEF) are thrilled to announce our upcoming Investment and Opportunities Forum taking place in the UK.

This forum is a whole day event under the auspices of HE the Egyptian Ambassador to the UK and HM the British Ambassador to Egypt, and hosted by EBCC, HSBC and, UK Export Finance (UKEF).

The event is inaugurated to promote trade and investments and open further B2B and B2G channels between Egypt and the UK in the various sectors of infrastructure, including Green Hydrogen & Renewable Energy, Water, Automotive, Food Processing, IT and AI.

The event will feature an economic update, shedding light on the current investment map in Egypt as highlighted by the General Authority for Investments (GAFI). In addition, 2 investment focused panel discussions incorporating the private and public sectors will follow, shedding light on tenders and private sector opportunities in the pipeline and focusing on Egypt current position as an investment hub including efforts to unlocking investment opportunities both in Egypt and the region.

Plenty of pre-arranged B2B opportunities will be organised by the EBCC, in addition to networking opportunities with government officials and industry leaders in the various sectors of infrastructure.

The Royal Air Force Club is a prestigious home away from home for Officers of the Royal Air Force and their families. The Club is for members only and located on London’s historic Piccadilly. Valued by members as a distinguished landmark where traditions and camaraderie reign, the Club’s timeless elegance and atmosphere are complemented with fine dining, delightful accommodations, an exceptional library, business suite and fitness centre and special events where everything is designed to benefit all members.

Travelling by Public Transport

The Club is centrally located on London’s Piccadilly and is well served by both tube and bus. Bus stops C and D, serving routes 6, 9, 22, N9, N97, 14, 19, 38, N19, N38, are located directly outside of the Club. Hyde Park Corner Tube (5 minutes’ walk) Green Park Tube (10 minutes’ walk) Marble Arch Tube (15 minutes’ walk) London Victoria Tube and Mainline (20 minutes’ walk)

Parking

The Club does not have its own car parking facility, however there are a number of local car parks that can be utilised.

Q-Park – Park Lane is an underground car park situated beneath Hyde Park, just a 10 minute walk from the Club and outside of the Congestion Zone. Members can benefit from a 50% discount on parking for 24 hours (or part there of), usually £45.00. Collect your ticket from the machine and a secondary ‘Follow-up’ tickets can be found at RAF Club reception before returning to the car park at the end of your stay to pay. https://www.q-park.co.uk/en-gb/cities/london/park-lane/

Alternatively, you can use Euro Car Parks on Park Lane. RAF Club members are eligible for a 25% discount when staying overnight. Euro Car Parks now operates a “no barrier” system, where cars are recorded on entry using cameras. Once parked, members must visit the manned kiosk before leaving the car park, and pay in full for their stay. The 25% member discount will be applied at this stage. This is a change to previous procedure, when the car park was under different management and members paid when picking up their car. www.eurocarparks.com

Congestion Charge Zone

The Club is located within the congestion charging zone. Drivers of vehicles with more than two wheels entering the zone are required to pay the congestion zone charge if they wish to drive in central London between 7.00am to 10.00pm daily (excluding Christmas Day). https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/congestion-charge/congestion-charge-zone

Accessibility

Access to the Club by wheelchair is via the side entrance on 6 Old Park Lane. All floors are accessible by lift and all our function rooms are accessible for wheelchair users with the exception of the Lancaster Room and Battle of Britain Suite on the lower ground floor.
